Wolfpack

The Lower & Upper Middle School Teams compete in the Austin Inter-Parochial League (AIPL).  While participation is voluntary, approximately 70% of the the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth student body participates in any given year.  All students who wish to play are accepted on a team. At the beginning of each season, students try out and are placed on a team.  A variety of different levels of competition exist to meet the different abilities of the athletes.

Fall

September - Late October

  • Co-ed Flag Football
  • Girls Volleyball
 

Winter

November - Late February

  • Basketball
  • Soccer (TBD)
  • Swimming

Spring

March - Early May

  • Track & Field
  • Ultimate - non- AIPL (only 7th & 8th graders are eligible)

AIPL Team Placement

Each school will form teams based on skill level to be placed in one of the following divisions:

  • 1A
  • 2A
  • 3A
1A is the top division

Games

Games are generally during the week with startimes between 4:30p and 7:30p.  We usually have one game per week.

SFS Physical Education

Lower & Upper Middle School Students who elect not to participate on an athletics team attend Physical Education Classes also known as “Sports Electives" twice a week from 2:45pm to 3:30pm. These classes are designed to expose its students to as many enjoyable physical activities as possible and take place in the SFS Gym, on the SFS Field/Track, or in one of the classrooms in the school. The Sports Electives may include baseball, fun and games, ultimate, walking, and yoga. Sports Electives are lead by various St. Francis Teachers. Pre K through 4th grades will participate in physical education classes twice a week taught by Clara Trevino, Telisa Young, and Dustin Armstrong.
